The Research Services & Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a "match maker" for curious members of our community and university researchers who want to explore the frontiers of science together.

If you are a community member, you can conveniently find exciting on-site and on-line studies that need people like YOU. If you are a researcher, you can quickly find and invite qualified RSVP community members who are interested in participating in your study pool.

The RSVP began in 2006 at the UC Berkeley Psychology Department as part of a comparative study of population personality characteristics (Stewart, 2008). Although the study ended in 2007, given the success and popularity of the recruitment program, originally named the Research Subject Volunteer Program, the Alkami Biobehavioral Institute was formed and continued to donate the on-site study recruitment services free of charge to UC Berkeley researchers and community members until 2010. More recently on-line study recruitment services were made available to researchers at universities from around the world. The program has now been expanded, restructured, and renamed the Research Services & Volunteer Program (RSVP).

Drive to Discover ABC7 News features the RSVP and talks to members Jo Adell, Eric Ellisen, & Anna Carideo.
